Twitter for media businesses....why it matters

I thought this was a great post. From Guardian Editor-in-chief.. on why Twitter matters.

There are some great points in here. I especially liked the "distribution" one.... this has taken "free distribution" and put it on steroids. Old distribution models that require a fee to distribute (postal?) can't compete on this playing field. They have to find another... 

Anyway, it is a great read. And reminds us all that the inane tweets are many...but there is something much bigger in play here... and if you dont get that then you are a dick IMHO...( if you don't know what IMHO is you are most likely in the category that doesn't get it)...
