As I look around at different organisations I see that it is done incredibly badly by the majority. Ofcourse, research the subject even a little bit and you see that this is true all over the world.
What happens when companies grow up? Where do they lose that spark?
Is there something akin to the whole idea of how, as kids, we used to play with crayons and paper or create epic stories with a one armed GI Joe and a puddle.....?
I am sure all this is connected to the problem...no doubt...lack of creativity does play a part in this lack of real innovation.
For me it is more simple.
LARGE ORGANISATIONS HAVE TOO MUCH MONEY TO INNOVATE PROPERLY.
Find me an innovative company...and I will show you a company that started with little, or nothing.....why is that?
"Necessity is the Mother of all invention".
Too much money means "consultants", "mgmt teams", "a brand", "business plans".... a whole bunch of stuff...before anyone got a client and solved a real need.
I will blog here on this developing idea... I am trying out a new idea within my company and will post what happens...good or bad....
Hopefully it will all be good.....yeah right.
QB.
