A big push into Social from RightNow

Those that know me, know that I have more than just a passing acquaintance with RightNow Technologies.

Here is the press release about their latest acquisition of HiveLive, an enterprise class social platform provider.

This is a great acquisition and follows on from RightNow's move to build the "cloud monitoring" functionality into their suite.

My view has been that this sort of stuff has been paying at the front end of the hype cycle... but it is definitely building... and there is NO doubt that the client organisations are very interested in the potential/impact of social technologies.
