Beware Xbox Live!

I have just spent 30 mins ($25) on an international call to Microsoft in an attempt to cancel my sons Xbox live membership.

30 mins, 2 foreign call centres, 2 agents, 2 lots of details given, 2 reference numbers... and FINALLY a cancelled subscription. This was the ONLY way to cancel it....

Compare this with signing up... 5 mins from within the Xbox console and done!

Quite frankly, this sucks Microsoft! Nowhere on the sign up page did it say "you are signing up for life..." which is effectively what your service design suggests.

I am sure I will cool down sometime....
